Sophie Ellis-Bextor is an English pop singer. She began her career in 1997, with a band called theaudience. After they split, she sang on DJ Spiller's "Groovejet".

In 2001, Sophie released her debut album Read My Lips. Her second album, Shoot from the Hip, was released in October 2003.

For her third solo album she worked with Xenomania on the song "If You Go". She has said that working with Xenomania "was lots of fun" and that Brian Higgins is "a very talented pop writer". Trip The Light Fantastic was released on May 21st, 2007.
