GIRLS ALOUD | Why Do It?

LYRICS:

At thirteen, you think it's cool
To dress like your friends
By fifteen, you're over it
And smoking cigarettes

And now the world that you
No one has a clue
Your friends say you're cool
So what's the point of school?
Your mom cries at night
You're so out of sight
You head's such a mess
But you still know best

Now tell me where will you be
No house, no clothes, no money
I wonder what they will say?
Sell your body to pay?

Why do it? Don't do it
Why do it? Don't do it, fool
Why do it? Don't do it
Why do it? Don't do it, fool

You walk around and people look at you
And they're sad to see a girl who's so confused
And you wonder why they all step away
You've been washed again it's not just today

And now the world that you
No one has a clue
Your friends say you're cool
So what's the point of school?
Your mom cries at night
You're so out of sight
You head's such a mess
But you still know best

Soon they won't care any more
So sick of cops at the door
Then you'll wish you were daddy's girl
Oh but you haven't a clue

Why do it? Don't do it
Why do it? Don't do it, fool
Why do it? Don't do it
Why do it? Don't do it, fool

REVIEWS:
x Another slice of electro crunchy pop (though the Girls may have to move on or subvert this sound once again on their next album), it all seems rather amusing that these 5 lasses are chastising people for being too peer pressure led, drunk, slutty, etc. ho ho ho indeed. Still a mighty fine slice of mince pie b-side for us all to enjoy! Paul
