LYRICS:
Circles on the floor I'm getting down low But things ain't right You're gone I'm losing ground, no Do you remember When your head was mine It's all I ever think when it comes to you and I No I can't feel right How we couldn't seal the deal The rhythm kept us going the only thing I feel And so I'm never gonna dance again I lost the rhythm when you said it's over And as the final record starts to fade I feel the dance floor turning colder And so I'm never gonna dance again 'Cos all the music in my world is faded I know it's never gonna be the same I guess our moves just never made it From the start, a work of art A perfect picture painting That I stored in my heart We weren't so bright You know we couldn't get it right Our bodies intertwined Now I can't get you out my mind As we danced you know, our feelings show You ought to know you got me As we dance and flowed My heart exposed Now I'm alone You lost me baby And so I'm never gonna dance again I lost the rhythm when you said it's over And as the final record starts to fade I feel the dance floor turning colder And so I'm never gonna dance again 'Cos all the music in my world is faded I know it's never gonna be the same I guess our moves just never made it I'm getting down but the rhythm's all wrong The record goes around And they're playing our song I get into the groove but it's giving me pain There's nothing you can do for me Mr. DJ And so I'm never gonna dance again I lost the rhythm when you said it's over And as the final record starts to fade I feel the dance floor turning colder And so I'm never gonna dance again 'Cos all the music in my world is faded I know it's never gonna be the same I guess our moves just never made it It's over, it's over And so I'm never gonna dance again

A Xenomania production, this excellent song originated in 2005 but never made the Taller..album. Re-engineered for Amelle, she starts the vocals on the first verse in a mid-tempo, reflective and dramatic mood. Keisha does the second verse and the chorus is harmonised superbly against acoustic guitar and warm synths. Heidi's middle section vocals highlight the mood of the song, atmospheric and lamenting the death of a relationship in a nightclub scene. Classic Sugababes and you can't help be moved by Heidi's cries of "it's over" at the end of the track. Daniel Gee

Never Gonna Dance Again is another early misfire - a relationship breakdown anthem set on a dancefloor that seems to be striving to recreate the dance appeal of Madonna's last LP release. It's amiable without ever coming close to the best in the Sugababes' back catalogue.
